Everyone wants to look good in their bathroom mirror but an unsightly crack right down the centre poses an obvious – and dangerous – problem.
“We moved into a new house recently and we have a huge mirror in our ensuite,” explains homeowner Glenda. “One day I noticed a crack forming at the top and within hours it had spread right down the centre of the mirror.”
A de-misting heat pad installed behind the mirror was the suspected culprit. Glenda rang Peter from Express Glass whom she had used previously to remove a dog entrance and re-glaze her laundry door.
“Peter came immediately which was great and worked in with our electrician to disconnect the heat pad and remove the damaged glass. They used special suction cups to break it into pieces and safely remove everything before vacuuming up.”
Back at the factory, Peter made a new 2.6m x 1m mirror and returned within a few days to install the replacement. “It fitted perfectly. We couldn’t fault Peter. He’s a verypersonable man. It was a big job but his quote was very reasonable, he came in a flash and he did a great job.”
